THE FOREIGN GUEST WHO LOVES VEGETARIAN FOOD
“Today, the key personnel of the International Cooperation Department were busy and took a leave of absence. I had the opportunity to welcome, dine, and chat with a new guest from Saudi Arabia—he introduced himself to me as Tale.
As lunchtime approached, I waited for a while but didn’t see him come up. Later, I found out that he was so captivated by the coffee at the counter downstairs that he didn’t come up to eat until past 12 PM. Surprisingly, his favorite dish was stir-fried pickled vegetables with spirulina—he picked it the most among all the dishes.
He even suggested that during his stay in Hanoi for work and travel, he would come to Oud Tue Vegetarian Kitchen every day for lunch.”
Oud Tue’s aspiration is to sow the seed of vegetarianism to everyone, regardless of religion or belief. All Oud Tue staff embrace the philosophy of treating guests like family—grandparents, parents, siblings, friends—and extend that love and care to all.
Oud Tue Kitchen may not be as luxurious as a hotel restaurant, our chefs may not be professionals, and our service staff may not be formally trained. But there’s one thing we are always proud of: we strive to bring our guests a complete experience—inner peace and compassionate love for all living beings equally, which Buddhism calls “unconditional loving-kindness”.
If fate allows, we warmly welcome you and your family to Oud Tue—to enjoy agarwood, sip tea, savor specialty coffee drops, and share a warm, sweet lunch filled with the taste of kinship.
