You’ve helped build everyone else’s vision. What would it look like to build your own? 👀

Imani Johnson-Jordan took more than a decade of experience as an award-winning brand strategist and made that move.

During maternity leave, she saw an opportunity: if clients couldn’t get to the studio, the studio should come to them. Seven days later, she was buying a vehicle to make it happen.

Meet the Founder & CEO of Maven Market | Home of Maven Haven and creator of Maven Haven—a mobile content production studio she funded herself.

She’s joining us at The Pivot to share her journey from agency work to entrepreneurship—and what it took to act on her idea.

Thinking about starting your business, building your brand, or making a career move? Come hear from women who have made their own pivots and connect with Black women navigating what’s next.

Sometimes the sign you’ve been waiting for is realizing that what you’re doing no longer works for you!

Pause. Pray. Give yourself permission to pivot.

There’s no deadline for changing direction, exploring a new career, starting a business, or pursuing the vision you’ve been carrying. Your experience comes with you, and there is still so much ahead.

But encouragement is only part of it. Having Black women around you who share their experiences, offer guidance, and open doors can help you turn that possibility into action.

That’s why Black Girls Link is bringing you The Pivot—an evening for Black women professionals and emerging leaders to connect, learn from women who’ve navigated change, and gain practical advice and resources for their own journeys.

Whether you’re figuring things out or ready to bet on yourself, there’s a place for you in this conversation. ✨

Your bigger vision deserves room to grow. Come be in the room.
