How do you drink your coffee? ☕️
This season we're bringing Cups to the table, Double wall Paper, Kraft and Ripple with compostable Lids.

Our goal ▶️ make Eco-friendly cups the Norm.
Our approach ▶️Variety and Option

Are they compostable? ➡️Yes, Always!
All cups are lined with a biodegradable PLA coating, protecting against leaks and heat. PLA is derived from corn, making them naturally compostable!
Most cups served at your local coffee shop are coated with a plastic PE coating, a non-biodegradable substance. Thus, trash. 🗑

Welcome 2022! 🎉✨ Happy New Year to all those we've reached in 2021, we're thankful for your support and love!

We set off last year with a series of goals for Proud Planet Renewables. Through dedication, hard work and customer feedback, we've been able to grow exponentially over the course of the year, brining sustainable packaging to our customers.

The Pandemic drastically changed the Takeout Industry, swapping Fine Dining for Fine Dining Room. Supporting well-established restaurants on the path to sustainability was among my top memories, as the demand for eco-friendly food and beverage packaging skyrocketed.
Increasingly, consumers are concerned about how their food is delivered, and what style of packaging is used, we hear you! So we pushed hard to create some of the best Compostable Products on the market today. Tested, Tested and Tested again to ensure it holds up to anything you can consider edible.

Our Eco-Line hasn't stopped growing since. Be on the lookout for new Compostable products in 2022. This is something we're really excited for!

It's the elephant in the room. 🐘Is this compostable?

Second guessing food packaging is a thing of the past. As a society, we have the ability to ditch plastic for natural resources, the technology is there and it's quickly surpassing old methods.
Here's how it works:
- Take a natural and biodegradable material like Bagasse, Kraft Paper or PLA.
- Test it's limits. How does this material hold up against oil, water, freezing temperatures? Can it handle long distance delivery? Will it stack properly in a paper bag?
- Then, shape and mold them into the appropriate forms. This all comes down to the ideal material paired with the optimal dimensions and specifications.
- Share these wonderful items with eco-minded customers, like yourself.

Lucky for you, we've put in the house/days/years to create an eco-line that holds up well when compared to traditional packaging, AND does wonders for the environment!

This year we have seen incredible demands for takeaway packaging, no surprise that the Pandemic was the driving factor having foodservice providers rethinking how to package their food.

Will this stay warm? Will moisture build up? Are the materials eco-friendly? Do all the boxes fit together in one bag?
Luckily, we have done the testing and retesting to determine the perfect pairing of foods and beverages to boxes and cups, and as it turns out there's a lot of variation!

This holiday season, check in with your customers, ask them how their food arrives when delivered. This is a great time of the year to consider compostable products.

Not all cups are created equal!
We use a compostable Aqueous coating to insulate and protect against leakage on all our cups. It's good for the environment and good for your business.
You may know this already, but the majority of cups today use a PE coating, which is plastic. This is why tossing out paper cups can be unnecessarily confusing.
Is Paper compostable? Yes! ✔️
Is PE compostable? NO! ❌
Are Paper cup with PE coating compostable? NO! ❌

Are Paper Cup with Aqueous Coating Compostable?! YES! ✔️

Next time you buy a cup of coffee, at the shop owner if they know what coating is on their cups. 😜
