Ứng dụng WoodID cho phép nhận diện tự động nhanh chóng với độ chính xác cao, tích hợp trí tuệ nhân tạo (AI) nhằm giải quyết bài toán nhận diện loài gỗ tức thì trên các thiết bị di động, góp phần hỗ trợ Việt Nam đảm bảo tính hợp pháp, bền vững và minh bạch cho nguồn nguyên liệu gỗ trong chuỗi cung ứng toàn cầu.

In response to the national movement for Innovation and Digital Transformation 🙂
Sharing a bit of experience applying AI in timber import control for Customs officers.

It all started from a quick chat with a friend deeply concerned about the timber sector. The idea took shape and was tested through small research projects. An AI model and two mobile apps (iOS & Android) were developed — free to use, and the model runs directly on smartphones. Unlike many similar apps that are paid and require internet, this one works offline — a must-have for forest or remote port inspections.

After one year, the iOS version has reached over 7,000 users globally, and the Android version has surpassed 10,000 users — primarily Customs officials, Forest Protection officers, and wood enterprises.
