As we celebrate the Teuila Festival in Samoa, we think about our culture and the path our ancestors showed us. Teuila, a Samoan name that means beauty, passion, and strength, comes from the red ginger flower with its bright red, pink and white colors and sweet smell. It reminds us of the beauty of nature and the courage we all have. With gratitude, we acknowledge the profound impact of the Teuila plant on our family, as we earn our living humbly from the simple beauty of nature, with the Teuila flower being a cherished part of our story.
