Damian’s Transport Services Closing.
It is with great sadness and much consideration that Damian’s Transport Services must announce that at the end of June we will be closing our transportation business. Our 12 year old daughter Mila, whom many of you know, because I talk about her all the time while I’m driving, was diagnosed with a very rare inoperable brain tumor on March 9, 2025. We quickly relocated our family for almost 2 months to Boston, with the help of so many community members and our customers that helped place phone calls to doctors and hospitals on our behalf, so that Mila could be seen at the best hospitals. We ended up at Boston Children’s Hospital. While at Boston Children’s, Mila underwent a biopsy, that left her with facial paralysis, on high dosage of steroids, unable to walk, hospitalized for almost 3 weeks and receiving radiation everyday for 6 weeks, 32 sessions. On May 12th she was able to ring the bell to signalize that she had received her last radiation treatment, the tumor had shrunk, and we came home to Nocatee on May 13th. Boston Children’s Hospital provided the best care and we were very happy there. We had spent 2 months being present in the moment with Mila, loving on her and helping her navigate this devastating diagnosis. So many customers, neighbors, strangers, the community, family, friends, different churches, Apex, PVA Flag Football and her PVA cheer community rallied behind her and sent her endless words of encouragement, gifts, prayers, love and support. During those 2 months in the hospital, we were told that Mila would have to be inpatient for about 6 months, in another state such as Texas, California, Washington, Michigan, Tennessee or New York, to receive a clinical trial that would be very invasive to her brain and in a clinal trial in phase 1. Florida does not have the clinical trial that she needs. Thankfully her tumor pathology came back with a mutation that can be targeted by taking an oral medication with a trial in its second phase,🙏 but would still require us to travel to and from Columbus Ohio, every other week to have access to the drug. We leave to Ohio, on June 9th for her first week of the clinical trial. Mila has a long road ahead of her but she is the bravest and we are in awe of her strength everyday. 🙏
We were able to keep the business running during all of this thankfully to our drivers, John and Tim. We now want to take this time to continue to be present in Mila’s journey and prioritize her needs and wants. We will not be selling the business because we value your privacy, we won’t sell your information, and because we wouldn’t sell it to anyone that doesn’t carry high commercial insurance like we have provided all these years. We still care about your safety and well being. Our 2024, 15 passenger van, with only 8,500 miles is up for sale as well as our 2022 White Chrysler sedan. Please inquire about them if you are interested.
So many people have asked how they can support us and what we continuously tell everyone is to please keep Mila and our family in your prayers as well as telling you to also prioritize your family first, life is too short.
We as a family have decided not to create a go-fund me at the moment because we know that so many people also have financial burdens of their own. Friends and the PVA Bobcat Cheer Community have created ways you can donate.

(in the memo line, please indicate that it’s a donation for Mila Muniz)
PVA Cheer is also selling, Cheering For Mila T-shirts, like the ones they wore at Mila’s kiddie camp fundraiser and they wear to their practices. All proceeds will go to Mila and they can be purchased here:

I want to express my sincere gratitude for your trust, support, and business over the years. We have grown to know your families and you have treated us like your own. It has been an honor to serve our community through transportation services, and I am incredibly thankful for the relationships and experiences this business has brought me. Gracie, John, Tim and I will miss you all but hopefully we will continue to see you around the community.
If there are any outstanding matters that need to be addressed before the closing date, please feel free to contact me. I will do my best to ensure a smooth closure.
Thank you for your understanding and support.
