Yesterday we were present at Fexmin 2023 and had the pleasure of giving a note for the mining and energy portal Reporte Minero.

Where we talked about our goal of showing small miners' businesses that can be scalable, and means of connection with medium and large mining companies.

At the same time, we highlighted the importance of knowing the history of each project and what happened to them before starting any joint work. In addition to analyzing the geological, geophysical and geochemical studies that allow us to propose drill targets for each case.

Albemarle Corp, the world's largest lithium producer, raised its 2023 earnings forecast.

Its shares rose as the company cited increased global appetite for the metal used to make electric-vehicle batteries. Rising 4.5% to $212 in post-closing trading.

The company produces the metal in Chile, Australia and China, and is expanding rapidly within the United States, where it has long been the sole producer of lithium. Even Tesla, Ford and many other automakers buy from them.

And what do you think about lithium production today, is it today the raw material that will be most in demand in the future?

Gold has value as a safe haven in times of inflation and can act as a hedge against price rises, although there is also debate whether it is a risky asset.

Its presence in jewelry, bullion, coins and technology, such as iPhones, drives the global economy, especially in countries such as China and India, where it is used for savings and investment in times of uncertainty.

Compared to bonds, gold is a limited asset in supply, which makes it appreciate over the long term, while bonds are liquid. Gold is not tied to credit ratings, currencies or yield shocks, which makes it unique and will continue to increase in value over time.

The copper shortage is evident due to few recent discoveries and lack of new mines under construction.

According to BMO Capital Markets, demand for semi-finished copper products could reach 40.4 million tons per year by 2030, with a peak forecast above last year's 31.8 million tons, and a 3% compound growth from 2022 to 2030.

However, the authors point out that there is scope and programs implemented by manufacturers to reduce or replace copper use, in applications such as power transmission, renewable generation, communications, air conditioning and the transportation industry.

At Xplora we see the opportunity to explore other soils and be in full search of new raw materials.

At Xplora Minerals, we use advanced technology to better understand our geophysical environment. In a key phase, our collaborators explore the earth by meticulously scanning it with their geophysical tools, capturing crucial data on the site's magnetometry. 🌍🔍

We then bring the information to life using the resistivity/IP (Induced Polarization) technique. Using strategically placed pits, we apply current to obtain a representation of the potential resources that may exist given their subsurface chargeability and resistivity conditions. 💧⚡
