Here is my story from being broke ($20k of debt) and lost to landing multi 6-Figure roles in tech.

Having grown up in a low-income immigrant family, I didn’t have any real mentors. I was lost when it came to navigating my career.

I didn’t want to become a pharmacist, doctor, or lawyer, that my parents wanted me to become so I set out to find a more fulfilling career that aligned with my purpose and goals.
 In 2016, I hit a breaking point. I spent all my money and desperately needed a job to stay afloat. I tried applying endlessly to multiple jobs but nothing worked I kept getting rejected with no callbacks. I didn’t know how to break into tech.

In 2017, I decided it was time to put my ego to the side and ask for help. That’s when one of my friends suggested I join a tech mentorship program that taught me the secret strategy of how to break into the technology sector.
 Within 2 months after the program I was able to land a tech sales role (SDR) for DemandForce making about $70K/year. Then every single year after was able to land a different opportunity with a top tech company making $140K+ while working remotely.
 Sine then I’ve been featured on Times Square and had the privilege to travel the world helping over 120+ job seekers and speak at multiple conferences teaching people how to land their 6-figure salaries with my 4-step job search method.

Yesterday, I had the privilege of helping job seekers revamp their resumes and speaking on stage about how MPH Tech Academy is helping people regain control of their job search using social media at the Bay Area Career Fest.

I used my platform to tell my story of how I was lost and confused with my career path and job search for the longest time until I started surrounding myself with the right people that guided me in the right direction.

Since then, I gained the knowledge, skills, and opportunities to work for the top tech companies all from having the right coaches, mentors, colleagues, and friends throughout my professional journey.

Here’s a few key reminders to everyone going through it right now:

-Don’t be afraid to connect. Your network is truly your net worth.
-Get to know someone genuinely and give before you take.
-Everyone has imposter syndrome, you just gotta do it!
-Always be grateful for every experience & encounter.

Last week, I joined WeWork All Access in San Francisco again.

Why do that when I can work remotely? Why does it matter?

Hear me out for a second...

Being in a remote world is amazing, don’t get me wrong, but there is something different about meeting in-person that remote cannot replicate - wouldn’t you agree?

The organic, genuine connection you make without any lag or speaking to someone with a blurry camera is just incomparable.

I also realize that some people don’t have a place where they can focus on work without any distractions or network with other like-minded individuals on the same mission.

That being said, I’m thinking about hosting a co-working day to help anyone who’s on the job search, thinking about starting a side hustle, wants to be a mentor, or just wants to work alongside amazing people.
