🔐 Nursery Intercom Upgrade

We recently upgraded an existing intercom system at a local nursery, replacing the old system with new Videx video intercoms with built-in keypads.

The new system allows staff in each room to see who is requesting access before letting them in, with video handsets installed back to each room.

We also installed electric strike locks to the doors, providing a secure locking mechanism controlled through the new intercom system.

A much safer and more controlled approach to managing access into the nursery, while also making things easier for staff. 👌

Another door entry installation completed 🔐

This one was for a 6-flat block, where we installed a GDX fob in door entry system with transom mag post with built in locks to the communal entrance.

The system gives residents controlled access to the building while keeping the main entrance secure from unauthorised entry.

We used conduit throughout the communal areas to protect and neatly route the cabling, keeping everything tidy while helping to protect the installation.

Another one completed by the DJC team. 👌

Another CCTV upgrade completed at a local vehicle dismantling yard.

For this job we installed:

• 2 x TandemVu PTZ cameras
• 12 x ColorVu turret cameras with two-way audio
• Live alerts and motion detection
• App control for remote viewing

We also installed Hikvision wireless bridges to connect the cameras at the opposite end of the site, where running cables wasn’t possible.

The whole system is now set up and ready to give the customer clear coverage across the site, with remote access straight from their phone.

🚨 Aberfoyle Too Nursery – Extension & Upgrade Project 🚨

We were delighted to be involved in the extension and upgrade works at Aberfoyle Too Nursery, carrying out a range of fire and security works throughout the project.

🔴 Fire Alarm – upgraded from an L3 to an L1 category system.
🔴 Fully rewired the fire alarm system to bring it in line with BS 5839-1 requirements.
🔴 Installed beam detection within the attic space.
🔴 CCTV installation and upgrades.
🔴 Door access control, upgrading an older style videx intercom with a video handset.
🔴 Accessible toilet alarm, including pull cord, sounder and reset button.

We supplied the customer with full system documentation, including zone charts and relevant information, ensuring everything was clearly documented and handed over on completion.

Another great project completed, helping provide a safer, more secure environment for staff and children.

The last few months have been incredibly busy, which means we’ve not been able to keep our socials as up to date as we’d have liked. We’re catching up now and wanted to share one of our previous installations.

Starlink installation completed for a property where fibre broadband is not currently available.

Starlink is commonly used in rural and remote locations where traditional broadband infrastructure is limited or unavailable. However, it can be installed almost anywhere, provided the dish has a clear, unobstructed view of the sky.

We’ve just completed a GDX door entry system for one of our trusted letting partners. This one was an 8-button fob in with service access, plus brand new handsets installed throughout the properties. We also installed a transom 2m magpost for security on the communal door.

A new type of install for us. We recently replaced a faulty FootfallCam system at Pandora, restoring accurate people counting and shop analytics.
