Here is a detailed constitution governing the Youths Party Movement, Sokoto Chapter:
PREAMBLE
We, the youths of Sokoto State, determined to promote democratic values, transparency, and accountability, and to empower young people to participate in governance and decision-making processes, hereby establish this constitution for the Youths Party Movement, Sokoto Chapter.
ARTICLE I: NAME AND OBJECTIVES
1. The name of this organization shall be the Youths Party Movement, Sokoto Chapter (YPM-SC).
2. The objectives of YPM-SC shall be to:
- Empower young people to participate in governance and decision-making processes.
- Develop leadership skills and capacity among youths.
- Promote democratic values, transparency, and accountability.
- Address youth-related issues and concerns.
- Foster national development and unity.
ARTICLE II: MEMBERSHIP
1. Membership shall be open to all youths residing in Sokoto State, aged 18-40 years.
2. Members shall be drawn from diverse backgrounds, including students, professionals, entrepreneurs, and artisans.
ARTICLE III: EXECUTIVE COUNCIL
1. The Executive Council shall be the governing body of YPM-SC.
2. The Council shall consist of:
- President
- Vice President
- Secretary General
- Treasurer
- Public Relations Officer
3. The President shall be the chief executive officer of YPM-SC.
ARTICLE IV: LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL
1. The Legislative Council shall be the policy-making body of YPM-SC.
2. The Council shall consist of:
- Speaker
- Deputy Speaker
- Committee Chairpersons
ARTICLE V: DEPARTMENTS
1. YPM-SC shall have the following departments:
- Education and Research
- Health and Wellness
- Entrepreneurship and Employment
- Sports and Culture
- Community Development
ARTICLE VI: FINANCE
1. YPM-SC shall have a Treasurer responsible for managing finances.
2. The Treasurer shall submit financial reports to the Executive Council.
ARTICLE VII: ELECTIONS
1. Elections shall be held every two years to elect members of the Executive Council and Legislative Council.
ARTICLE VIII: AMENDMENTS
1. This constitution may be amended by a two-thirds majority vote of the Legislative Council.
ARTICLE IX: DISPUTE RESOLUTION
1. Disputes shall be resolved through mediation and arbitration.
ARTICLE X: DISSOLUTION
1. YPM-SC may be dissolved by a two-thirds majority vote of the Legislative Council.
By adopting this constitution, we, the youths of Sokoto State, commit to working together to achieve our objectives and promote democratic values, transparency, and accountability.
