I recently completed an IRONMAN 70.6 on the Gulf Coast in Florida. Such events have been known to be a "Gateway Drug" to the FULL IRONMAN 140.6. JORDAN: Sixty-three (63) years ago, President John F. Kennedy exhorted his fellow Americans to "Ask not what your country can do for you; ask what YOU can do for your country."

That is good advice which, if followed, would not only bolster the self-reliance of the average citizen, but contribute mightily to the welfare, prosperity, and peace of the populace at-large.

I have been posing this same question to myself ever since I began learning about my American Heritage as a little boy.

It is with satisfaction, pleasure, and joy that I present the complete and unabridged revision (2nd Edition) of Psalms of Life: A Poetry Collection. Having serially published this entire book one-chapter-at-a-time, it is now available in its entirety.

Well folks, that's all she wrote—or I guess in my case, it's all he wrote!

I hope you have enjoyed this book of original poems. If reading this work has provided you with a mere fraction of the pleasure, satisfaction, inspiration, and joy that writing it has provided me, then it will have been well worth your time.

I also hope that the experience will remind you that as human beings, poetry is not just a pleasant pastime or academic pursuit; it is a quenching agent of a very real spiritual thirst that we as human beings often have in this very physical world. After all, in the words of Pierre Teilhard de Chardin: We are not physical beings having a spiritual experience; we are spiritual beings having a physical experience.

If my poetry has done anything to elicit within you a greater sense of your spiritual heritage, self, and potential, then it was well worth my time composing it all.

We have come to the FINAL CHAPTER of my revised Poetry Anthology, Psalms of Life. Today's post contains Chapter 13: Psalms of Self-Action Leadership, or just Psalms of SAL.

The next two weeks will contain the entire revised poetry book in one, single post (August 16) and links to each individual chapter (August 23). This will be followed by an Introductory Letter to America and the World on the SAL Textbooks (August 30), after which we will begin our exciting, online, serial publication of the SAL Textbooks, Volumes 1 & 2, on Wednesday, September 6th. This ongoing serial publication will take the better part of the next two-and-a-half years to complete. In the meantime, non-SAL Textbook oriented texts will be published on days of the week other than the regular, Wednesday morning posts, which will continue to feature sections of the SAL Textbooks until the SAL Textbooks are available online in their entirety.
