With Love, Hope ..,and Data. That's how I drive conversions.

I remember my first time performing C.R.O. (conversion rate optimization.)

It was 2019 and I was running systems and fulfillment for a stellar marketing edTech startup.

Our sales system was a traditional VSL funnel (video sales letter) that drove sales calls. We'd had a strong start to the year with warm sales ticking in, but by the summer they'd dried up and we were struggling to get cold to show up to calls.

I watched as our sales and marketing team argued over who was responsible for optimizing the show rate like a ping pong ball, all the while stressing over the health of this company that I was starting to love immensely.

Enough time passed without a change and I couldn't take it anymore. I took action.

Although I wasn't on the marketing team, I'd watched and absorbed much of their proprietary testing system and realized that our VSL funnel wasn't unique to our company; that many companies leveraged this funnel structure to get calls, and that I had access to those structures via their own advertising on Facebook.

I chose a well known marketing guru, modeled a post-call system after theirs, and launched my first-ever C.R.O. "test".

Our first iteration got traction, but no change in the show rate.

I made some tweaks and the second iteration saw an uptick.

I reviewed the data, spoke with marketing, our sales team, and after some more tweaks and a few more iterations ...it started to work.

Our show rate went up to industry average and our sales team was able to take (and optimize) much needed sales calls.

I was dazzled by my ability to impact human behavior, and was empowered by my ability to contribute to the success of our company.

Over the years I was put on multiple C.R.O. projects across different departments: warm and cold marketing, email marketing, and retention, until I eventually parted ways to offer my C.R.O. abilities to other companies with new value propositions.

With love, hope, and data, I continue to drive conversions for entrepreneurs who are desperate for the help, but don't know where to turn. 🥰
