Remember last week I said I was working with local companies to create a reward for my client? Well, sadly one of those companies has let us down in a big way.
In short, the person we were dealing with simply didn't tell their staff to expect us when we collect items this morning. As a result the shop wouldn't give us our items, then said they would but not at the agreed price, and then refused to call our contact to work it out.
Needless to say, our team member left empty handed and now we need to find another supplier (we're on it).
For the simplest (and if I'm honest, a quite lazy) mistake.
That's no sale, no promotion through my clients very many social media followers, and my client will not be using them or even considering them for any future events (she's also pretty vocal so everyone will know what happened).
It makes me sad to think a small business will suffer for such a crazy lazy attitude.
Don't be like this business! Do all you can to make sure your brand doesn't get branded as lazy!
