City of Seminole Fire Department The Seminole Fire Department was founded in 1936 under the direction of Chief John E Longbotham. At the time only a few apparatus were housed there. Dagley.

Our current station was built and dedicated in 1999, with future plans of expansion and growth at the time. We now have a fleet of 15 pieces of apparatus to handle any type of incident that may occur. In 2020 the City of Seminole hired our first full-time employee, Chief D.A. Chief Dagley brings a wealth of knowledge and experience needed to continue to grow this department into one of the finest

fire departments in the great State of Texas. Looking toward the future, the Seminole Fire Department plans to start hiring additional staff to support the volunteers.

On behalf of the Seminole Volunteer Fire Department, we want to express our sincere gratitude to everyone who supported our fundraiser this past weekend. Whether you made a donation or helped spread the word, your generosity means more than words can express.

Because of your incredible support, we'll be able to purchase much-needed protective gear for our firefighters, helping keep them safe as they serve and protect our community.

UPDATE: 911 has been restored as of 8:50 PM ON 07/27/2026.

🚨 Important Notice: 911 Service Interruption 🚨

Our 911 system is currently experiencing an outage and technicians are actively working to resolve the issue.

During this time, 911 calls will be rerouted to surrounding counties for assistance. Please know that our deputies and emergency responders will continue to respond as usual to all emergency calls.

Our non-emergency line (432-758-9871) remains fully operational for any calls or assistance that do not require an immediate emergency response.

We will provide updates as more information becomes available. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

🚒 Seminole Volunteer Fire Department – June 2026 Call Statistics 🚒

During the month of June 2026, the dedicated volunteers of the Seminole Volunteer Fire Department responded to 76 calls for service.

June Call Breakdown:
🚗 Vehicle Accidents: 31
🔥 Grass Fires: 16
🚨 Other Calls for Service: 21
🏠 Structure Fires: 4
⛽ Gas Odor Calls: 4

Every call represents neighbors helping neighbors, and we're proud to serve our community whenever we're needed. Thank you to our firefighters, their families, and our citizens for your continued support.

If you see our crews or any other crews working along the roadway, please remember to slow down, move over, and give them room to work safely.
