Sometimes growth looks like… nothing.

No results.
No big wins.
No visible progress.

But that doesn’t mean you’re stuck.

Bamboo spends years growing roots underground -
so it can rise 80–90 feet in just a few weeks.

Remember that the next time life feels slow.

🌱 Roots first. Rise later.
But rise you will.

Save this reminder. Share it with someone building their future in silence.

In 1967, a brand-new Cadillac pulled into a quiet suburban driveway.
The neighbours stopped and stared.
A boy on a bicycle nearly forgot to brake.
Even the mailman paused mid-step.

Why?

Because the woman stepping out had just won her third luxury car that year. 🚗

Her name was Helen Hadsell — widely known as "The Contest Queen."
And over her lifetime, she won more than 5,000 prizes. Cars. Trips. Appliances. Cash.

Even her dream home.

But here's the part most people miss:

Helen didn't rely on luck.
She engineered her wins.
She used three powerful principles
— clarity, conviction, and intentional design
— long before these ideas became mainstream.

And those same principles apply directly to sales today.

In my latest article, I explore:
✓ How clarity creates trust (and conversion)
✓ Why your certainty becomes your buyer's certainty
✓ How to design outcomes instead of waiting for them.

If you've ever felt like sales success is unpredictable or out of your control, Helen's story might just shift your perspective.
Because sales isn't about luck. It's about alignment.

The Psychology of Influence — How Trust Turns Science into Service

After 32 years in sales across 4 continents, I've learned this: the best salespeople don't convince—they clarify.

Dr Robert Cialdini's influence principles still work. But without trust, psychology becomes manipulation.

In my latest article, I break down the 3 pillars of ethical influence—reciprocity, social proof, and consistency—and why they only work when rooted in service, not tactics.

Because buyers today don't want to be sold to. They want to be understood.

Read how trust turns science into service—and why that changes everything. 👇

Why do some salespeople build decades-long careers with clients who become advocates, while others burn out chasing the next deal?

It's not about working harder or having better products.
Bain & Company found that acquiring new customers costs 5-25x more than retention, yet aggressive closers keep burning bridges for short-term wins.

I've watched this pattern for 30 years across four countries: the wolves chase commissions and collapse, whilst the advisers build legacies.

💡 Question for you: What's the biggest difference you've noticed between working with a high-pressure salesperson versus a trusted adviser?

Big buyers research you before they ever call you.Are you visible where they're looking? Here's what I learned the hard way: the sale starts long before the first conversation.

According to Gartner, 70% of a B2B buyer's journey happens online before they ever speak to sales.
They're checking your posts, your profile, your content. They already know who looks credible—and who doesn't.So when they're ready to buy, they don't call a stranger. They call the expert who's already earned their trust.

Visibility isn't vanity. It's strategy.
Here's how to build strategic visibility:
- Educate publicly. Share what you know. Give value before you ask for business.
- Stay consistent. A good post every week beats a great post once a quarter. Consistency builds familiarity, and familiarity builds trust.
- Position as authority. Buyers don't pick the best solution—they pick the expert they've seen and trusted.

Justin Welsh built a $5M business by posting daily on LinkedIn and Twitter.
No ads. No sales team. Just consistent value.
Within 18 months, he had 500K+ followers and a waitlist of clients.

Your posts are pre-meetings. Your consistency is silent persuasion. When you show up with value, buyers don't see you as a vendor. They see you as the trusted advisor they've already chosen.

Want to turn visibility into opportunity? That's what we teach inside SERVING$™.

Edison failed 1,000 times before inventing the light bulb.

Was he rejected—or redirected?

Here's what I wish someone had told me when I started in sales:
Rejection isn't failure. It's feedback.

Every "no" is actually bringing you closer to your next "yes."

But most people never get there because they take rejection personally instead of strategically.

I get it. Rejection stings. It feels like proof that you're not good enough.
But here's the truth: Top performers hear just as many no's as everyone else. They just process them differently.

They don't spiral. They study.

Here's what changed everything for me:
Reframe the no. It's not a defeat. It's a data point. What did you just learn?

Extract the lesson. What can you improve next time? Every rejection is free training if you pay attention.

Persist with purpose. Each no sharpens your skills and gets you closer to the yes that counts.

Rejection doesn't mean you're failing. It means you're in the game.

And the more you're in it, the better you get.
That's what we teach inside SERVING$™—how to build the kind of resilience that turns rejection into rocket fuel.

Scripts don't close deals. How you sound, does.

I used to think if I just memorised the perfect pitch, deals would close themselves.
Wrong.

I've seen reps with word-perfect scripts lose deals because they sounded nervous, rushed, or desperate.

Your voice is your superpower—if you know how to use it.

Here's what makes the difference:

- Pace matters. Slow down. Fast talking = nervous energy. Confident sellers control the tempo.

- Silence is powerful. Don't be afraid of pauses. They give your words weight and let your message actually land.

- Conviction beats performance. Say what you genuinely believe. Authority comes from authenticity, not acting.

When you speak with certainty instead of desperation, people feel it.
They stop seeing you as "just another salesperson" and start seeing you as someone who actually gets it.

That's what we teach inside SERVING$™. Not just what to say—but how to show up with presence, conviction, and integrity.

Want to sound like a trusted advisor instead of a pushy rep?
That's exactly what I'm here to help you with.

In Sales, Trust is Priceless!

57% of customers stop buying when trust breaks.

That’s not a small number.

That’s more than half your potential business… gone.

I learned this the hard way early in my career. Made a promise I couldn’t keep because I wanted to close the deal. Lost the client. Lost the referrals. Lost my credibility.

Never again.

Here’s what I know now: trust is the strategy.

Not your pitch. Not your product features. Not your closing technique.

Trust!

You build it by:
• Being honest even when it costs you the sale
• Following through on every commitment
• Showing real proof, not just making claims

Inside SERVING$™, we teach sales with integrity. Because manipulation might get you a quick win, but trust gets you a lifetime of business.

Your reputation is your biggest asset. Protect it like your career depends on it.

Because it does!

Ever wonder why Steve Jobs' "One more thing..." always hit so hard?

It wasn't luck. It was psychology.

Jobs mastered something called pre-suasion—getting people emotionally invested before he even showed them what he was selling.

And here's what I've learned: the best sales don't happen during the pitch. They happen in the setup.

When you frame the conversation right, build a little curiosity, and lead with emotion... the close becomes natural.

But here's what matters most to me: doing this ethically.

That's the foundation of everything I teach inside SERVING$™ ecosystem.
We use these techniques to genuinely serve our clients, not manipulate them. To build relationships that last, not just hit a quota.

Influence without integrity is just manipulation. And that's not the game I'm playing.

If you're tired of pushy sales tactics and want to learn how to close deals while keeping your soul intact... stick around.
Drop a line if this speaks to you.
