A Loyal Solution is a veteran-owned IT consulting company that provides professional IT services in the greater Nashville area and beyond.

A Loyal Solution provides IT consulting to small to medium businesses, ranging from server virtualization, to network design, to computer installs, and everything in-between. I am the owner, Andrew Loyal. I gained IT experience through the US Army and am still an IT Specialist for the TN National Guard, and hold the certifications that go along with that training. I work along side JCD Solutions for social media management, web design, web hosting, and many other projects.

If you're in an office that does this, I'm here for you! Your password is your electronic signature on the network, and when you give it out, you are letting other people leave your digital fingerprints on everything they do.

It looks like, while it will surely be a long and strenuous road, Nashville will be seeing Google Fiber sometime next year.

Martha Ivester, the Google Fiber City Manager, has voiced her appreciation to all those who have shown up in support of the new ISP. We will likely hear more from them in the near future.

It's official- Google Fiber is starting it's network in Nashville! Satellite cities will not be included, such as Oak Hill and Belle Meade, but are likely to be expanded to in the future.

The process should take roughly a year, based on previous locations, before we start getting offered what will likely be a $70/mo 1GB data package.

Google Fiber's enhanced speed — as much as 100 times faster than traditional broadband — will be expanding to Nashville, Atlanta, Charlotte and Raleigh-Durham.

Many security-minded people in the technology industry have relied on TrueCrypt as a way to keep sensitive information safe. With no warning or explanation, the developers have announced that it is no longer secure and have seemed to pull the plug on the project.

I'll be keeping an eye out for any official statement as to why they feel it was compromised. Until then, we'll be looking for a new encryption technology.

This bug, unlike Heartbleed, can be avoided easily on the user's end. Use Chrome or Firefox for starters, which avoids the bug all together. If that's not an option, avoid phishing sites by double-checking links before you click them. Keep your browser up-to-date and run Windows Update weekly. And finally, never use Internet Explorer for every day web browsing.

As Symantec noted, this will be the first zero-day vulnerability that will not be patched for Windows XP users.
