The first time I told someone who wasn't a close friend about my business idea, he crossed his arms, looked me dead in the eye, and said, "no one's gonna pay you for that." I can't blame him - I wasn't fantasizing about a normal business. I was talking about cleaning the bones of dead animals with flesh eating beetles.
Fast forward a few years and here I am running a busy skull cleaning business, Dermestidarium. I've been featured on podcasts and in Business Insider, and just gave my first TEDx talk. I own my house, have financial security, and do what I love. Every year gets a little better than the last. I've learned a lot along the way (and am always still learning!), but it wasn't easy having a business no one understood and some thought was crazy or stupid.
So I've started this community to develop the resources I *wish* I had when I was starting out. A place free of judgement, full of support, and here to take you and your business seriously no matter HOW WEIRD it is.
