The IEEE Botswana Subsection would like to congratulate Mr Lenamile Bathai for his elevation to IEEE senior member status🎊.

Lenamile Bathai has 17 years experience in power systems and energy trading, and he is currently employed by Botswana Power Corporation as a Senior National Grid Controller. One of his responsibilities is to monitor,operate,direct and coordinate all operations of the national Grid. He holds a professional graduate degree programme in Electrical Engineering from the International Institute of Management and Technical Studies (IIMTS), and Diploma in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from the university of Botswana. He has a Certificate in Power systems operations with Kafue Gorge Regional Training Center from Zambia. Went to study tour to energy markets in the UK and Norway. In 2018, he was nominated best overall perfomer- PARASTAL ministry of Minerals,Green Technology and Energy security excellence awards. He is a member of IEEE power & energy society,IEEE young professionals and IEEE power and Energy Society mentor.
