My father was Maori and, like the Butchulla people, we have a deep connection to Whales 🐋🤍. So, in creating this piece, I felt I was also honouring my heritage and my late father, Roy Russell II 🤍

This piece is reflective of the feeling that the spirit realm is behind a Veil that we brush past everyday.. the souls of loved ones passed, seem to be behind the breath of the Veil.
My dearly departed Father, Grandmother, Grandfather, are there, behind the Veil, protecting me, always 🤍🖤

Over the past 5 years I've kept my work primarily on my private Insta... so here is a lil mini catch up on a select few. My work is regularly on display at Aspire Gallery in Bris and annually at the art show held at the HBRG. One of my fave things has been capturing some super spesh photographic memories for beloved clients. Thank you to the spesh people who support my work. 🤍

My pieces will be on display among an array of wonderful art at the Fraser Coast Regional Gallery as part of the 35th Annual Art Award . There will be an opening Night this Friday 3rd August 2018 6.30pm with wine and nibblies, it is a truly lovely evening . I have to say I have rather a lot of new work .

I have two of these new pieces on display at the Hervey Bay Regional Gallery as part of yhe exhibition also having had my work exhibited twice in Brisbane at AspireGallery and my solo exhibition Sensory Playlist this year @ Lapunyah Gallery Chinchilla in 2018.
