Egon Schiele's parents spent their honeymoon in Trieste. Egon asked his younger sister Gerti to make the same trip with him. Many years later Gerti told this story to Alessandra Comini, and she was still a little upset by her brother's uncomfortable proposal. Egon wanted to share a hotel room with her, just as if they were a couple.

In March 1950 a pupil found this object by accident in Danube gravel. This 8 cm long blank is a stone hammer made of yellow-grey stone. It is a square poll with blunt ends and a partial drillhole in the middle. Archaeologists call such hammers with haft holes "axes". Axt without a hole are called "adzes". The drilling process was interrupted in the case of this blank. The final form was ground after drilling. People have used such adzes of ground rock since the Neolithic (around 5500 BC). In the Middle Ages, stone adzes were also called "thunder wedges". People believed that the thunder god had sent them to the Earth as lightning bolts. This is why they believed the stone finds possessed magical powers.

One of the many curious stories he tells about him is his meeting with Gustav Klimt who, after seeing his drawings, told him: 'Why do you want to show me your sketches? You draw much better than I do!".

In this oven he burned many important documents, but ALSO many of Egon's early sketches....

The municipal privileges and valuables were kept well secured in the chest, dating back 600 years. 
In order to extract its contents, it was necessary to open several locks at the same time. The keys were in the possession of several people who held prestigious positions in the city but no one person had all the keys. All the key holders had to come together to open the chest as a means of mutual control.

Streets and squares were renamed during the N**i regime. This house number plate shows how the incriminating part of the name of this street (Schmiedgasse in Graz) were painted over by hand in May 1945.

The air-raid shelter pharmacy, dating back 80 years, is the most important air-raid first-aid device for self-protection. The population of Graz was trained in air raid protection as early as the summer of 1939. That is a month and a half before the start of the war, which was supposedly started by Poland by surprise.
