❤️
Hi everyone! Sadly, we have decided that next Friday, October 9, will be our last day open for the season.
Unfortunately, we just aren’t as busy at this time of year to warrant us staying open. There is so much work to be done to prepare for the next season, and we have to prune all of the blueberry bushes, get the greenhouse ready for seed starting at the end of February, and clean all the gardens out, winterize the farm stand and work in the barn.
Now, don’t forget, please Don’t unfollow our page!! As many of you know, I take orders all fall, winter, and spring for elderberry syrup, fire c***r, garlic and honey, homemade bread, homemade soaps, homemade lotions, honey, maple syrup, vanilla extract, sourdough starters, spice orders from the pantry in bulk, and other homemade goods as well! Please stick with us! You won’t be disappointed! Now we still have a lot of tomatoes to sell to you over the next week, so please come and see us! We will also have Concord grapes until next Friday, along with bell peppers, hot peppers, Italian, roasting peppers, the last of the beets, onions, garlic braids, lots of apples, lots of pears, and one more round of baked goods next week from April at Spink’s family acres! We have a few gallons of maple syrup available as well! Please be sure to stop by and see us over the next week before we are closed up!
On a closing note, thank you to all of you who have come here this year. Old familiar faces and new friends we’ve made this year. We were beyond astonished by the turnout this summer. This has been our busiest summer in the last five years. I almost couldn’t keep up! We just want to thank you all from the bottom of our heart. And a huge thank you also to The Cove in Sylvan Beach. Without asking them, they promoted our business and recommended that a lot of the out-of-towners stop at our farm stand and come pick blueberries. That was such a wonderful gift that you gave us! We got to meet so many more new people this year and we are just so thankful for that. Most of the reason that people come here is word-of-mouth. We don’t pay for advertising, we don’t have flashy signs and we don’t do any type of CSA produce box subscriptions or anything here so it’s just us, the blueberry picking, produce you choose, and the vendors we choose to share with you. Some people call it old-fashioned, but I think it’s working just fine. We kinda like being basic! Many thanks and much love to all of you.
Xoxoxox,
Heather, Bob and Sydney
