This was interesting. A church in Yea had all their leadlights smashed and wanted new ones. Thankfully they had photos so my job was to freehand draw the designs and cut the glass. Then that was all shipped off to glass painter Peter for him to paint and kiln fire the saints faces, folds in the robes etc. Then back to me to lead, solder and finish. The church was very happy. I just wish the saints didn't look so miserable! I guess being a saint is no walk in the park.

Another wonderful concert with the National Boys Choir in Murray's woolshed. When l first met Murray he explained he wanted to build a hall to host concerts purely to 'give back' to the community. What a lovely person. At my first meeting with him we walked into an old shed and he pulled out an door with the remnants of two smashed leadlights. It was the first time l heard those immortal words - 'Now Lisa, what can we do with this?' That rebuilt leadlight became the centrepiece of the set in the photo. He wanted more. Left and right to make a triptych then eventually the ones with the roses.

Just had a wonderful holiday in Tasmania. The highlight for my daughters and me was attending a hot glass lesson at the Poatina Glass Studio. It was fantastic and gave me a new insight to the versatility and sheer beauty of glass. Many thanks to glass god Keith.
