When a business is entering a new market, the work usually starts well before the first filing.
Before submitting anything, we assess what applies to the business, which licences and registrations are needed, and when they must be in place.
This matters because some requirements can take weeks or even months to complete. If a licence takes four months to obtain and the application is made only after the business is ready to launch, identifying it earlier could have avoided the delay.
You also can't always deal with each requirement as it comes up. Some approvals need to be in place before the business can move on to the next step.
So the first question we ask is what needs to happen, what needs to be obtained, and when. The forms and filings come after that.
How far ahead of a market entry does your team currently start mapping what's actually required?
