Pringle 171-2 took a short ride to Plymouth to join the 22nd Annual Kabasa Fest Parade.

At approximately 05:50hrs on 08/01/2026, the Pringle Fire Department was dispatched to a residential structure fire on Bennett in Luzerne. Upon notification, responding units were also informed that police were on scene confirming the incident as a working structure fire. On arrival, crews observed smoke and active flames coming from the structure. Due to limited manpower, a second alarm and additional mutual aid units were requested to support fire suppression efforts. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.

On July 28, 2026, at approximately 15:42 hours, the Pringle Fire Department was dispatched to the intersection of Evens Street and Grove Street for a flooded roadway. Upon arrival, fire crews cleared an obstruction from the storm drain, which resolved the flooding.

At approximately 16:30 hours on 07/08/2026, the Pringle Fire Department was dispatched to a commercial structure fire on Union Street in Pringle. Upon arrival, responding crews observed smoke and active fire coming from the structure. Due to limited manpower, a second alarm and additional mutual aid resources were dispatched to the scene as crews worked together to extinguish a persistent fire within the building. Firefighters and mutual aid units operated for several hours before the fire was fully brought under control. We extend our sincere gratitude to all mutual aid departments that responded to assist us with this incident.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation at this time.

 On July 5, 2026, at approximately 21:11 hours, the Pringle Fire Department was dispatched to the intersection of Evans and Grove Streets for a flooded roadway where a vehicle was trapped and the driver could not exit. Upon arrival, one person was assisted in exiting his vehicle by TransMed ambulance staff who were passing the area and encountered a driver trapped in the vehicle. Following extensive cleanup of the roadway, the road was reopened the following morning.

Attention residents of Pringle Boro and the general public the intersections of Evans Street and Grove Street, as well as Evans Street and Union Street, are closed until further notice due to a flooding incident.

Update: as of 7/6/2026 at 9am road has been reopened

On 05/19/2026 at 15:47 hours, the Pringle Fire Department was dispatched on the first-alarm assignment for a residential structure fire on Main Street in Swoyersville. Upon arrival, crews observed active fire and smoke coming from the structure. Engine 171-2 established a water supply from the hydrant on Main and Kirby Street and advanced approximately 400 feet of supply line to Kingston Engine 4. Units from multiple areas worked together to extinguish the fire and overhaul the structure. Pringle Engine 171-2 operated for approximately 1 hour before for being released by fire command.
