📢 SST Employment Services Guide V4 (Updated 9 June 2026)📢

The Royal Malaysian Customs Department (RMCD) has released the updated SST Employment Services Guide V4, which provides guidance on the SST treatment of employment services.

The guide may be relevant to manpower suppliers, recruitment agencies, labour outsourcing companies, and businesses providing employees to related companies.

🚨 Don’t Ignore This If You Plan to Claim Tax Relief in 2026!

Lembaga Hasil Dalam Negeri Malaysia (LHDN/HASiL) has announced that taxpayers are encouraged to obtain e-Invoices for purchases intended for individual tax relief claims starting from the Year of Assessment 2026.

Taxpayers are advised to ensure that purchases under eligible tax relief categories are supported with a valid e-Invoice issued during the transaction.

📌 To facilitate the issuance of the e-Invoice, buyers must provide:
• Identification Card (IC) Number, or
• Tax Identification Number (TIN)

to the seller at the point of purchase.

Please take note of this latest requirement and begin preparing accordingly to avoid complications during future tax filing and tax relief claim submissions.

📢 LATEST | Important Notice

In support of SMEs, Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim announced a 12-month extension for the e-invoicing implementation, extending the transition until 31 December 2027 to ease compliance and strengthen business readiness.

All affected parties are advised to take note and ensure full compliance within the revised timeline. 🗣️‼️
