This brilliant TED talk was filmed since 2006 and has had 32 million views, but what is being talked about is unfortunately as true today as it was then. It also applies to what is happening in the workplace as much as education. Some companies such as Google have realised this and try to encourage free thought, learning through mistakes and creativity. Other companies try to emulate Google by putting in colourful open-plan workspaces and cool furniture but fail to realise it's the culture that needs to change not just the building.
