🚨 Successful Anti-Poaching Operation - Upper Tongaat

This morning (23 May), during a Watergate Security Solutions anti-poaching training session on a private farm in Upper Tongaat, a group of suspected poachers with numerous hunting dogs illegally entered the property.
Our team, alongside Dolphin Coast Anti-Poaching Forum DCAPF, Hawks Protection services,Chapman Security Solutions & volunteers, responded immediately.

The poachers were chased off the farm and 3 hunting dogs were captured.

The dogs have been handed over to SPCA with DNA samples collected. Suspect details forwarded to authorities.

We've been quiet here because we have been very busy.

In the first 3 months of 2026 we have received 32 reports of poaching incidents within our operational area. Thanks to our incredible security partners and volunteers, we managed to quickly respond to 29 of these incidents, deterring these individuals and preventing poaching from occurring.

Alpha Security - Kwazulu Natal, Greater North Coast, CMTF - Coastal Marine Task Force, SAPS, Durban Metro Police Service, Snare Aware, Department of Forestry, Fisheries and the Environment and Ezemvelo KZN Wildlife for the ongoing support, coordination, and collaboration.

We teamed up with Chapman Security Solutionsto coordinate and manage full event security for the “Bosveld Trail Run Weekend” at , hosted by this Easter weekend.

From sunrise starts to finish-line celebrations, everything ran smoothly and safely.

We thoroughly enjoyed our time out in the wild 🏃‍♂️🌳

After almost a year of proudly serving as the dedicated security consultants for Fairview Estate, Watergate Security Solutions is honoured to announce that we have been officially appointed as the full-time Security Managers for the estate and its future expansions.

This appointment marks an important milestone in our partnership with the Fairview community. Over the past year we have worked closely with the estate’s leadership and security teams to strengthen procedures, improve communication, and enhance the overall safety framework of the estate.

We are excited to move into this next phase, which will include a full-time Watergate Security Manager on site, ensuring consistent oversight, ongoing training, and the continued development of proactive security strategies.
