4 cups flour
2 tablespoon baking powder
1/2 cup sugar
250g butter
2 eggs
1 cup amasi
Essence of choice

Sift together flour and baking powder

Add sugar and whisk together

Grate in cold butter

Rub in with the tips of your fingers do not over mix

Whisk together eggs, milk and essence. Do not over mix

Mix together with flour mixture and mix using the back of a wooden spoon. Do not overmix please.

Flour your surface and put your mixture there. Do not knead but just form a dough without mixing.

Roll out using a rolling pin

Use cutter of choice and cut your dough. Do not twist your cutter. Just press and pull

Eggwash the top of the dough and bake at 200°C for about 15 minutes.
