Job Purpose
As a Customer Relations Officer you will be responsible for communicating with customers and clients via telephone, face-to-face, and / or email regarding any service or product offered by our client. Your primary objective is to identify queries of customers, interact with customers, answer the queries of customers, resolve service issues, enhance customer experience, maintain and develop relationships, improve credibility and create customer loyalty for the business.
Duties
Service customers by communicating via email, phone call, and / or face-to-face.
Maintain a positive, empathetic, and professional attitude toward customers at all times.
Practicing quality in all aspects of the job to ensure customer satisfaction.
Ensure good customer retention by providing excellent and professional services.
Consistently cross sell and upsell products and services during customer interaction.
Ensure that all customer and client needs and complaints are responded to quickly and efficiently.
Keep in constant communication with relevant departments regarding any VIP clients/arrangements and/or orders.
Maintain appropriate standards of conduct, uniform, language and grooming.
Conduct regular follow ups on account clients.
Ensure that all current SOP’s are being followed and amended if needed.
Offering assistance to customers and clients to ensure they receive the right product/service.
Investigating and solving customer and client problems/enquiries and addressing any concerns they may have.
Refer customers to your Team Leader / Manager when necessary.
Provide customers with refunds where applicable.
Create new feedback procedure for clients or improving upon existing model.
Learn about the company’s products/services and remaining up to date with any changes.
Responding promptly to customer inquiries.
Know and understand our products thoroughly so that you can answer any questions raised by our customers and clients.
Handle any administrative duties: process orders, forms, application and requests.
Keep record of customer interactions, transactions, comments, and complaints.
Communicate and coordinate with colleagues and management when necessary.
Provide feedback on efficiency of the customer service process.
Ensure customer satisfaction and provide professional customer support.
Requirements
Matric (Grade 12)
Minimum 2-3 years in a customer relations and / or customer services position
Experience in a call centre and/or hospitality environment would be ideal
Previous experience working in a diesel depot environment or within the petro-chemical industry will be an added advantage
Able to work shifts (shift allowance provided)
Solid phone selling with excellent oral communication, interpersonal and active listening skills.
Experience working on WinBranch / Pastel / Sage Evolution
Fast learner and able to adopt to a stressful environment and fast-moving work atmosphere
Valid driver’s license, PHP code license will be beneficial
