Finally we see some good changes for Small companies!
Well, it's finally happened!
National Treasury has finally adjusted a lot of the tax thresholds that we (SAICA and others) have been asking FOR MANY YEARS.
Young people like saying "I've got receipts" (evidence).
So I spent the morning trying to find documented evidence showing just how long ago SAICA started this tax threshold crusade.
Some would've seen my post last year where we advocated for this in our Annexure C submission. See https://www.linkedin.com/posts/lesedi-seforo-16599a20_how-long-has-it-been-since-the-various-tax-activity-7383800493711458306-pw-l/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=member_desktop&rcm=ACoAAARqyV0Bse0AwHPWVTQVjmNF9nGNTS49kzA
A lot of people reacted to it.
From what I can tell, this issue is documented in all our Annexure C submissions FROM 2020 all the way to 2025. That's 6 years π€―!
Here are all the Annexure C submissions we made on this issue, which you can find at https://www.saica.org.za/resources/tax/submissions

I guess the lesson in all of this is that with any type of advocacy, you have to "keep knocking" as our Head of Tax at SAICA, Pieter Faber would say.
Let's spread the word so that people know.
