On 20/02/2022 at 13:21 we recieved a alert on snipr cameras in hatfield of a white toyota carolla which was listed for theft KB1 and KB2 stopped at the vehicle the vehicle was then checked on mcd and came back negative we then took the vehicle and the driver to brooklyn saps for further investigation due to there was 2 case no.522/10/2022 and 523/10/2022 Listed on that vehicle.upon investigation the investigating officer from kempton saps was contacted and he confirmed that they closed the docket due to they could not find the vehicle,then we detained the one suspect and seized the vehicle until the investigating officer from kempton saps arrived the docket
has been re- opened and the suspect and the vehicle is handed over to kempton park saps

On 24/01/2023 a vehicle triggered one of the LPR Cameras in Hatfield. Officers KB2, KB3, KB4 and A1 responded to the last known location and identified the vehicle in question. The vehicle was stopped and the registration was verified with SAPS and it was confirmed as still sought. The vehicle was escorted to Brooklyn Police Station from where it was diverted to the local SAPS pound.

At approximately 13h11 the vehicle, a white Opel Corsa Utility with reg YRS859GP triggered the Snipr LPR Cnr Burnet and University Rd with Silverton CAS 188/10/2022 wanted for other serious crimes. I (KB03) chased and found the vehicle at the red traffic light Cnr of Burnet and Festival Street at approximately 13h12. When I stopped at the vehicle KB02 also arrived and we asked the driver to step out of the vehicle. The vehicle was tested via MCD and it was still Sought at that time. The vehicle and both suspects were escorted to Silverton SAPS. The case was handed to them and the vehicle was subsequently impounded with SAP13 nr 4466/2022.

21/12/2022

At approximately 09h12 the vehicle, White Mercedes with reg JHJ708GP, triggered the Snipr LPR cameras. The control room operator announced the alert over the radio and our Rapid Response members began to search for the vehicle. At 09h15 the vehicle was stopped by RR members. A reg test was done and the vehicle was still positivly sought by SAPS with CAS Nr 451/12/2022. BL SAPS were notified and arrested the suspected.
