Researchers in Germany are advancing transparent photovoltaic glass, a technology that allows windows to generate electricity while still permitting visible light to pass through. Instead of conventional opaque solar panels, these advanced coatings capture portions of sunlight that are invisible to the human eye, such as ultraviolet and infrared wavelengths.
The technology has the potential to transform office towers, homes, and commercial buildings into clean energy generators without significantly changing their appearance.
