Meet Owen Njablu Masinga, our Business Development Officer for the KZN region. Owen holds a BA in Human Resources, brings strategic insights and a people-first approach to everything he does and constantly proves to be a valuable addition to the Southey team.

Alongside 15 years of experience in business development and tender administration, Owen also prides himself on being a retired rugby player who competed at some of the highest levels. His ability to build strong relationships with customers supports our journey to grow Southey Contracting into an industry leader.

We are incredibly proud to sponsor Christian Fraser on his journey to the UDO World Dance Championships in Blackpool, United Kingdom this August. As one of the world's largest and most prestigious street dance competitions, the championships bring together talented dancers from across the globe to represent their countries on the international stage.

Christian has been part of Dance Movement since the age of six and through years of hard work and commitment, he has earned the honour of representing South Africa at this caliber.

The I&J Foxglove marine vessel has been transformed! We were recently commissioned to assist with dry-docking and refurbishing this vessel and the final results are impressive. A big well done to the Southey crew.

Hearing what our clients have to say about the job we do motivates us.

We were tasked with the chance to refurbish 4 diesel tanks for one of our oil and gas clients, Eskom Gourikwa. This large-scale job required us to provide scaffolding for the main task which involved prepping the tanks for corrosion protection.

A big thank you to Jonah Amsterdam for taking the time to commend the crew and share his thoughts about what he saw on site. Well done to the crew and the project managers.

A new transformation is underway! 🚢
We were recently commissioned to assist with dry-docking the I&J Foxglove marine vessel. The Southey team is making progress on this marine vessel revamp and we can’t wait to see the final outcome as the project takes shape.

The process of dry-docking involves the cleaning, inspection and repair of the sections of a ship that are usually submerged in water. This project has been an engaging experience for the Southey team and we can't wait to see the final result soon.
