Kumana was created from a simple realisation: I wanted to design more than buildings.
My foundation is in architecture. It taught me to think about structure, function, movement and place. But through my work beyond traditional practice, particularly curating event experiences, I began to understand space differently.
I saw how an environment could shape attention, influence interaction and change how people experience an idea. I became increasingly interested not only in what we build, but in how people feel, move, gather and connect within it.
That thinking led to Kumana.
Kumana is a multidisciplinary spatial design studio rooted in architecture, with a growing focus on Spatial Experience Design and Event Space Design.
We create buildings, commercial environments, event spaces and creative concepts shaped around the people who will experience them.
The name brings together three ideas:
KU from Kulture.
MA from Making.
NA from Narratives.
Because every space exists within a culture, every idea requires thoughtful making, and every environment carries a narrative.
Kumana represents the kind of practice I want to build: one that brings architectural thinking and human experience together.
Architecture is our foundation. Human experience is our focus.
Welcome to Kumana.
