Wow, some big news last night - Microsoft will purchase all of Nokia's device and service centers as well as licensing the phone maker's patents and mapping wizardry. Microsoft will pay Nokia a cool 50 billion Rands for the business which includes its patent armory. All hail Microkia :)

We’re all distracted. No one can pay attention. We’re missing out on life’s moments.

Human beings have developed a new problem since the advent of the Phone, no one is paying attention to anything they’re actually doing.

Everyone seems to be looking down at something or through something. Those perfect moments watching a concert or your kid’s birthday party are either being captured via the lens of someone's phat iPad that sits between you and the actual experience, or Pings from a BB breaking into what used to be family time.

What if Google brought technology closer to your senses?

Google Glass is a mainstream wearable computer and it's effectively a smart pair of glasses with an integrated heads-up display and a battery hidden inside the frame.

The core of Google Glass is its tiny prism display which sits not in your eyeline, but a little above it. You can see what is on the display by glancing up. The glasses also have an embedded camera, microphone, GPS and, reportedly, use bone induction to give you sound.

So bring it on or bin it, do you want Google Glass?
