Our client, a prestigious Montessori school based at the foot of Table Mountain in Oranjezicht, Cape Town, is searching for a Head of School who shares their values and vision.

About the school
The school was founded in 1983 and is dedicated to the global Montessori philosophy and offers a stimulating learning environment that is child-centred, culturally diverse and relaxed; where young children are nurtured and encouraged to be environmentally conscious, independent thinkers. The school has 180 learners from age 18 months to Grade 7.

The school is committed to creating a space where inclusion and diversity is actively practiced by recognising and embracing differences positively and openly.

The school is accredited through SAMA and is currently seeking international accreditation through IMC.

About the role
As the Head of School, you will be responsible for the management and administration of all operations of the School and use your experience, passion and energy to structure continuous improvement and development.

This role reports to the Board of Trustees and has the Head of Education, Administration and Facilities reporting to it.

• Proven track record in operational skills by managing and growing an organization.
• Sound financial and regulatory understanding/experience
• Able to demonstrate their ability in progressing the school towards attaining their mid to long term goals.

Our client, based in Philippi, is searching for a Bookkeeper to assist the Head of Finance. The ideal Bookkeeper is able to go beyond capturing and processing financial transactions, he/she has the ability to investigate issues and provide feedback to the relevant stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities;

Processing of bank transactions and daily bank recons
Manage payment cycle of suppliers (weekly/monthly)
Capturing Supplier invoices
Reconciling Supplier accounts to Supplier statements
Loading of payments
Generate all customer rental transactions as confirmed by Tenant Administrator
Invoicing of ad hoc, non-rental/event income as and when required
Reconcile balance sheet accounts
Maintain the fixed asset register and process depreciation on a monthly basis
Manage the Petty Cash float
Prepare VAT Reconciliation bi-monthly, ensuring that VAT has been processed correctly
Assist with month-end management accounts and queries
Assist with year-end audit preparation
Maintain an orderly filing system for all financial records in compliance with local legislation.

Requirements;

Relevant tertiary qualification in Bookkeeping, Financial Management, Accounting
3-5 years of experience in similar role
Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail
Ability to handle pressure
Excellent communication skills - verbal and written
Strong planning and organising skills
Strong interpersonal skills
Self-managed and self-motivated

Senior Associate
The Senior Associate, as part of LabourExcel’s LE Legal division, will be responsible for providing clients with various commercial legal support and business compliance.

You might be our next Senior Associate if:
• You have an LLB qualification
• You are an admitted Attorney or a non-practicing admitted attorney
• You have at least 2-3 years’ experience post articles
• You have experience in the following;

• Reviewing of clients’ documentation, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with laws and regulatory requirements.
• Developing and implementing documentation, policies, and procedures in line with laws and regulatory requirements.
• Keeping abreast with new legal developments and changes in regulatory requirements and developments.
• Providing exceptional service to our clients, within the agreed timeframes
• Building and maintaining relationships with current clients and seeking new clients
• Understanding Civil Procedure and the process flow of litigation
• Upholding LabourExcels mission, values and ethics

Our client is seeking a highly skilled hybrid talent, for the role of Communications Manager who will manage and improve all communication flows, within and outside of the company. In addition, the Communications Manager will be responsible for promoting a positive public image of the company through writing, editing, and updating digital information. Tracking content and website traffic, applying knowledge of search engine optimization (SEO) and adding videos and photos to make content more appealing and attractive, will be essential for this role.

Key Responsibilities:

Creating, improving & maintaining content to achieve business goals
Researching & producing content that can fuel an entire communication & marketing program
Effectively communicate updates to all internal & external stakeholders, via internal communication, website, newsletters, social media etc
Establish a marketing content calendar to ensure regular publications.
Develop content strategy aligned with short & long-term marketing targets.
Create & repurpose content for different mediums including social media and video.
Create and update web content, from web pages to blog articles.
Edit, proofread and improve writers’ posts.
Ensure brand consistency.
Use web analytics tools (e.g. Google Analytics) to analyze website traffic and user’s engagement metrics.
Ensure content compliance with law (e.g. copyright and data protection).

Requirements:

Qualification in Journalism, Media and Communications, PR/Marketing or Corporate communications or the equivalent in work experience
Significant and proven experience in marketing content, and social medias management in multiple languages.
Concise and effective writing skills in order to bring our products’ stories to life with strong social media experience and knowledge
Creative minded with an ability to conceive interesting ideas and concepts for new content.
Experience in directly overseeing content publications on key and emerging social media platforms for a brand.
Understanding, or experience dealing with Influencers: Finding, influencers / bloggers / sites with whom to establish a collaboration.
Some technical knowledge in web languages (e.g. HTML, CSS), CMS (e.g. WordPress) and photo editing software (e.g. Photoshop) is a plus.
Good knowledge of SEO and web traffic metrics.
Experience working in a start-up environment and/or social justice/NGO sector advantageous
English required, Xhosa advantageous
