All interested parties are invited to attend a public engagement workshop to discuss the review of the Durban Climate Change Strategy.
The Durban Climate Change Strategy (DCCS) was adopted by the eThekwini Municipality Council in 2015. Since then there has been a range of activities and processes undertaken in the city to respond to the risks and opportunities presented by climate change. Most recently the Council has approved Durban’s Climate Action Plan (CAP). As it has been five years since the DCCS was adopted. The eThekwini Municipality has now initiated a process of reviewing and revising the DCCS. This review process will seek to consolidate the DCCS and the CAP into an integrated implementation and monitoring framework.
