Meet boss babe Ncumisa Mkabile, who is a farmer from Kayelitsha.
She started farming in 2020 when the pandemic hit and was forced to shut her take-away business. She started selling chickens and by May 2020, identified a piece of land where she planted spinach, and later green peppers.
Ncumisa went from supplying mainly street vendors to major supermarkets. Her message to the youth is to create opportunities for yourself, because nobody will do it for you.
