🚨(4x Suspects arrested)🚨
On the 7th of August 2024, our law enforcement team encountered a group of suspects involved in the stripping and vandalism of an abandoned government building located on Planet Avenue, Crownmines, during a routine patrol. Upon noticing the approach of our team, the suspects fled the scene; however, a second team patrolling the area was promptly alerted to be vigilant. Subsequently, the suspects returned and proceeded to dismantle the protective fencing around the property. A member of the public provided information on the direction in which the suspects had fled. Swiftly responding to this information, our team intercepted the suspects only a few hundred meters from the site of the vandalism, where four suspects were apprehended with the stolen fencing. Subsequently, our team collaborated with the Johannesburg Metropolitan Police Department (JMPD), who assisted in the detention of the suspects. The apprehended suspects, along with the stolen property, were escorted to the Langlaagte Police Station and detained on charges of possessing stolen property. We commend all involved parties for their swift and effective actions.
