We sincerely appreciate Rosebank International College for allowing us to visit, join, and assist with the chess activities at the college. ♟️

It was a great opportunity to meet and engage with some of the students and introduce them to ChessVal. During our visit, we also invited the players to participate in our upcoming ChessVal Online Battle Tournament.

Today, ChessVal had the opportunity to visit Regent Business School to introduce our online chess initiative and connect with their students.

During our visit, we also had the opportunity to sit across the board and play a physical game of chess with one of their students — a great moment of competition, connection and sportsmanship. ♟️🔥

At ChessVal, we believe chess has the power to connect people beyond the board. Our goal is to build a growing chess community that connects schools, colleges and universities across South Africa through sport, while creating more opportunities for students to compete and participate.

The Chessval Online Battle Tournament has been rescheduled to 30 August 2026, and registration is still open!

A significant number of our registered players informed us that they would not be available on the original tournament date. Rather than proceed without them, we believe every registered player deserves a fair opportunity to participate.

We've also extended the registration period to welcome more teams and players from across South Africa, making the tournament bigger, stronger, more competitive, and more rewarding for everyone.

🏆 THE CHESSVAL BATTLE TOURNAMENT has officially come to an end! 🏆

What an incredible journey it has been! After weeks of exciting battles, Falcons have emerged as our Battle Tournament Champions 🥇, while Alpha Force fought with determination to secure 2nd Place 🥈.

We also recognize the efforts of Titans, M-Power, and Golden Lions. Although they were eliminated from the tournament, they displayed courage, determination, and sportsmanship throughout the competition. Every great champion has faced setbacks, and we look forward to seeing them come back stronger in our next event.

A huge thank you to every player, parent, and supporter who believed in ChessVal and made this tournament a success. This is only the beginning! If you're a chess player looking for exciting competition, fair play, and a growing chess community, ChessVal is the place for you.

This Saturday, the ChessVal Battle Tournament returns with another exciting round of action. Every match carries weight, every point matters, and every team will be fighting to strengthen their position in the tournament.

Alpha Force enters the round as the current leaders with 3 wins, but nothing is guaranteed. M-Power will be aim for their first victory ,while Titans and Falcons will battle for valuable points in what promises to be a thrilling showdown.

📢 Tournament Postponement Notice

Dear players,

We have decided to reschedule our online battle tournament, which was originally set to begin on 28 June 2026. The tournament will now start on 5 July 2026.

This decision was made because several over-the-board tournaments are taking place during the original dates, which may prevent some of our players from participating. Since this is a battle tournament, a strong turnout is essential to make the competition exciting, competitive, and enjoyable for everyone.

By moving the tournament to 5 July 2026, we hope to give more players the opportunity to take part and ensure the best possible tournament experience for all.
