At ChessVal, we believe that supporting us consistently should mean something. That’s why our Loyalty Card is more than just a card it’s a way for us to recognise the players who continue to show up and compete with us. ♟️

We were originally planning to host two more tournaments this year, which would have brought our total to 7 tournaments. However, after reviewing our plans, we have decided to conclude our 2026 tournament programme and continue with our tournaments in 2027.

We’re grateful to everyone who participated and supported ChessVal throughout our 5 tournaments this year. Your support has helped us grow, and we look forward to coming back stronger in 2027. ♟️🇿🇦

Calling all chess players, schools, colleges, and universities across South Africa!

ChessVal invites chess players and educational institutions from every province to participate in an exciting online chess competition where strategy, teamwork, and determination come together.

🏆 R55,000 TOTAL PRIZE POOL

🥇 REWARDS FOR THE TOP 5 TEAMS!

📅 Tournament Date: 28 February 2027

💰 ENTRY FEE: R180 PER PLAYER

CHOOSE YOUR PAYMENT OPTION:

- Option 1: Pay R180 in full.
- Option 2: Pay R60 monthly for 3 months.

All entry fees must be fully paid before the tournament begins.

These are just some of the messages we have received from players and supporters following our tournaments.

We decided to share them because sometimes, as we work behind the scenes trying to improve Chessval, we don't always get the opportunity to stop and appreciate how far we've actually come.

To everyone who has supported Chessval, played in our tournaments, brought your children, joined our teams, shared our events, given us feedback, and continued to grow with us we are truly grateful.

Chessval would not be where it is today without you.

Every player who chooses to participate, every parent who trusts us with their children, every team that continues to return, and every person who recommends Chessval to someone else is contributing to something much bigger than a single tournament.Your support is one of the biggest reasons we continue pushing ourselves to do better.

Teams are ready, players are prepared, and the fight for the crown continues. Every match matters — and with the Survival Stage starting at 5:00 PM, there is no room for mistakes.

We sincerely appreciate Rosebank International College for allowing us to visit, join, and assist with the chess activities at the college. ♟️

It was a great opportunity to meet and engage with some of the students and introduce them to ChessVal. During our visit, we also invited the players to participate in our upcoming ChessVal Online Battle Tournament.

Today, ChessVal had the opportunity to visit Regent Business School to introduce our online chess initiative and connect with their students.

During our visit, we also had the opportunity to sit across the board and play a physical game of chess with one of their students — a great moment of competition, connection and sportsmanship. ♟️🔥

At ChessVal, we believe chess has the power to connect people beyond the board. Our goal is to build a growing chess community that connects schools, colleges and universities across South Africa through sport, while creating more opportunities for students to compete and participate.
