Vuhosi Consulting Group Celebrates a Milestone: Startup20 Policy Handover
We're thrilled to mark a significant milestone in our journey with the Startup20 as our CEO Ms Telavukosi Mabasa being a Taskforce for Trade and Access to Market! As part of the esteemed team, she was part of the member’s that played a role in shaping the SU20 Policy papers, which were officially handed over to Minister Stella Tembisa Ndabeni-Abrahams, Minister of Small Business Development and Ms Salome Baloli from Dirco.
This moment marks the culmination of South Africa’s leadership of the Startup20 Engagement Group under the G20 process, a global effort to elevate Startups and MSMEs as key drivers of economic growth, job creation, and digital transformation.
The SU20 Recommendations policy papers capture the collective insights of policymakers, founders, investors, and partners from across South Africa and the G20 network, focused on advancing inclusive innovation, access to finance, sustainability, and global market integration.
We're proud to have worked alongside incredible individuals committed to strengthening the entrepreneurship ecosystem. Huge congratulations to the Department of Small Business Development, Chairperson Vuyani Jarana, and the entire team for their outstanding work!
A pivotal moment in our journey was the Startup20 Midterm Engagement in Johannesburg (July 21-22, 2025), where over 350 delegates came together to shape global startup policy. This event was a turning point, aligning policies that advance inclusive finance, trade access, sustainability, and rural entrepreneurship.
What's next?
We're gearing up for the Startup20 South Africa Summit and Awards on November 13-14, where we'll discuss the outcomes of our term and the path forward for Startups and MSMEs globally.
And just around the corner, we'll be attending the Social Summit on November 18-20, where we'll be sharing our recommendations and learning from other engagement groups.
At Vuhosi Consulting Group we're committed to empowering startups and MSMEs, driving economic growth and development.
