Eish, Gauteng is Panicking!!!
Even the panic button needed a panic button.
A student opened the app's code one afternoon, found the database door wide open, walked in, and politely told everyone. Respect to that young man.
Meanwhile, R269 million later, the official word is "attempted breach, nothing compromised." Shame. We've all said that about the milk we left out overnight.
Look, we're not here to laugh at anyone's emergency. (Okay, maybe a little. Professionally.)
But it's a real reminder: when someone presses a button in the scariest moment of their life, the last thing they need is their name, location and report floating around the internet like a lost sock.
That's why Kasi Connect is built the way it is:
- Your data is encrypted
- We don't sell your data
- Built by our community, for our kasi, not for tenders
- Real people, real accountability
Don't panic. Big Bro is here.
Built in the township. For the township.
