A small group has been reported in Marabastad, Maokeng, attempting to cause disruption by burning tyres in the street. SAPS is on scene and our team members are also on scene monitoring the situation. We will continue to provide updates as the situation develops.

During the early hours of Sunday morning, information regarding two suspicious individuals was shared on a community WhatsApp group, including a description of the suspects and their movements in the area.

Thanks to the swift response and vigilance of our officers, the suspects were quickly located and caught red-handed in possession of stolen property. The suspects were apprehended, and the stolen items were successfully recovered.

Through further investigation, another security company was able to link the recovered property to one of their clients who had been the victim of a break-in earlier. The suspects were subsequently handed over to the security company responsible for the affected property, together with members of SAPS, for further investigation and processing.

This incident once again highlights the importance of community involvement in the fight against crime. Information shared through community networks, combined with proactive response efforts, continues to play a vital role in keeping our communities safe.

A big well done to all officers involved for their vigilance, professionalism, and rapid response in ensuring a successful outcome.

🚨 Cable Theft Suspects Apprehended 🚨

During the early hours of 1 June 2026, our control room received information about suspected cable theft activity in the area.

Our response officers immediately followed up on the information and, through quick action and teamwork, successfully located and apprehended three suspects. The suspects were found in possession of equipment commonly used in the theft of electrical cables.

All three suspects were detained and handed over to SAPS for further investigation.

Cable theft continues to have a major impact on communities, businesses, and essential services. We encourage residents to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity, especially during the early morning hours when these incidents often occur.

A big well done to all officers involved for their fast response, professionalism, and commitment to protecting our community.

During the day on 20 May 2026, our control room received information about a cellphone that had been stolen from a business premises.

Initial investigations showed that three suspects entered the premises pretending to be customers before stealing the cellphone and leaving the area.

Our response team immediately followed up on the information received and, through quick action and teamwork, all three suspects were successfully located and apprehended. The stolen cellphone was also recovered.

This serves as a reminder for businesses and residents to stay alert, even during normal business hours. Criminals often pretend to be customers or clients to gain access to premises and look for opportunities to commit theft.

Please remain vigilant, keep valuables secure, and report any suspicious behaviour as soon as possible.

Incident Report | Rapid Response in Action 🦅

In the early hours of Sunday morning, 3 May 2026, one of our response officers attended to an alarm activation at a client’s property. Upon arrival and investigation, it was confirmed that suspects had gained unlawful access, and two individuals were identified on site.

During the arrest, one of the suspects became aggressive and attacked the officer. In the process of defending himself and bringing the situation under control, he discharged his fi***rm, successfully stopping the attack.

One suspect was apprehended, while the remaining suspect fled the scene.

Backup, SAPS, and other emergency services were immediately contacted and responded to the scene.

The matter has been handed over to the South African Police Service for further investigation.

We would like to commend our officer for his bravery, professionalism, and unwavering commitment to protecting our clients and their property. Incidents like this highlight the real risks our teams face daily to ensure the safety and security of the communities we serve.

During investigations on 27 April 2026 regarding stolen property, we received information relating to the case we were investigating as well as information regarding possible stolen fi***rms. We immediately informed SAPS, and a joint operation followed.

Three suspects were arrested who are involved in at least one open case currently under investigation. Stolen and illegal fi***rms were recovered, along with other stolen property.

This was a major success, and these types of operations assist in keeping our community safe. We would like to extend our thanks to the Crime Prevention Unit of SAPS for their swift response in this matter, as well as our Reaction Officers, who went the extra mile to make this possible and help keep our communities safe. 🦅
