The quality of our conversations matters more than we sometimes realise.
When conversations are rushed, overly directive or focused only on getting to an answer, we can lose the thinking that might have emerged with a little more space.
Better conversations do something different. They make room for people to reflect, question, challenge assumptions and contribute ideas that may not have surfaced otherwise.
That matters in teams, in leadership and across organisations. Because when the quality of the conversation improves, the quality of the thinking often improves with it. And that can change what becomes possible.
