**Setting the Record Straight: Beaufort West Solar Project**

BOZA International has noted the allegations in The Voice regarding labour remuneration and SMME participation on the Beaufort West solar project. The facts:

✅ **Fair pay:** Workers are paid in line with the Electrical Bargaining Council rates, which apply to renewable energy solar electricity projects.

✅ **Local first:** Preference is given to local SMMEs with the applicable certifications and verifiable experience.

We are disappointed that politicians are using a project with massive job creation and economic benefits for the Beaufort West community for electioneering and rumour-mongering. Communities deserve facts, not politics.

Anyone with a genuine concern is welcome to raise it through the Project Liaison Committee and grievance mechanism.
