Improved colour for earlier harvest. Timing makes all the difference!

Earlier this month, we shared the fantastic Octubrina rind colour and sizing results at Denau. Today, the focus shifts to our Nules Clementine trials conducted and evaluated in Rawsonville.

We wanted to see exactly how a single C4L / Cultigrow application influences rind colour on early Clementines. Thanks to independent assessments by Aerobotics, we have clear, measured answers:

➡️ Early applications deliver the strongest response. Applying C4L / Cultigrow at the end of January (1 x 1 L/ha) resulted in 26% more fruit reaching colour break before the very first harvest compared to the untreated control.

➡️ Later applications still showed an improvement, but at a reduced level, proving just how vital application timing of C4L / Cultigrow is for hitting your colour targets.

New trial data on early season citrus cultivars.

After sharing our Tango and Nadorcott colour development results, the question came up: does C4L work the same way on early season cultivars like Octubrinas?

So we tested it. At Denau, Rawsonville (2026), independent Aerobotics assessments showed C4L applications shifted more fruit into commercially desirable colour classes before the first harvest. The data also showed a clear shift in fruit size distribution, with more fruit into larger, marketable size classes.

The timing of application made a measurable difference. Earlier applications produced the strongest results for both colour development and fruit sizing.
