Visit to Bronkhorstspruit – GDARD Agriculture Information Session

Yesterday, we traveled to Bronkhorstspruit to attend an agricultural information session hosted by GDARD (Gauteng Department of Agriculture and Rural Development). I went with my friend, and before the session, we visited his farm to check on his progress and discuss some of our farming experiences.

The workshop was insightful. We had the opportunity to network with fellow farmers, share challenges, and exchange valuable experiences. It was encouraging to hear how others are navigating similar issues in the agricultural sector.

On our way back home, we came across a white commercial farmer busy with a large-scale harvest. We decided to stop by and observe. The scale and professionalism of the operation were truly inspiring. It gave us a glimpse of what’s possible with proper planning, equipment, and experience, and it motivated us to aim higher in our own farming journeys.
