RLB Quantity Surveyors

RLB Quantity Surveyors RLB is a South Africa-based, registered Quantity Surveying and Construction Cost Consulting Practice and part of the global Rider Levett Bucknall brand.

RLB Pentad is a South African based, registered Quantity Surveying and Construction Cost Consulting Practice that operates both locally and internationally. Our head office is based in Johannesburg, South Africa. Our other South African offices are located in Pretoria and Cape Town. Our international offices are located in Botswana, Mozambique and Mauritius. The company was founded in 1997 and the

name, Pentad, originated from the five Founding Members who were symbolic of the definition of the word Pentad, being the “group of five”. We pride ourselves on our efforts to continuously provide professional service of the highest standard, and in so doing to remain at the forefront of the information technology industry. Our Directors adopt a personal “hands-on” approach to help create an atmosphere of innovation conducive to lateral thinking and a pro-active approach to the project. It is this approach that helps to keep us on the cutting edge of the market. As a result of this growth and development, and our exceptional quality of service, we were selected by Rider Levett Bucknall in 2013 to be their alliance partner in Sub-Saharan Africa. This alliance provided the platform for Pentad to be part of an international field of knowledge and experience. We have managed to secure projects where the global experience was key. With a staff compliment of over 3,500 in more than RLB 120 offices, global knowledge, experience, resources and an extended client database is shared. This deliberate, future-focused decision was made to propel our maturing company, and therefore we are proudly rebranded to: RLB Pentad during July 2015. RLB Pentad’s philosophy is reflected in our slogan “controlled numbers” which endorses our practice’s commitment to a pro-active approach on all projects. Based on the company’s current and completed projects and our previous experience we see ourselves as a unique team of specialists with the necessary knowledge, expertise and experience to assist the client from project concept, through implementation up to successful completion. RLB Pentad is an empowered company with a Level 2 B-BBEE rating. We have been verified on the Construction Built-Environment Professionals Generic Scorecard and is also a Value Adding Supplier allowing our Clients to obtain 125.00% Procurement Recognition when utilising our Professional Services.
