Your enemies are always confused, so don't try to be on their level.

They thought they rejected you but didnt know they were making you independent, they thought they'd buried you hence they didnt know they were planting you, they thought they sucked you up meanwhile they were removing weeds; while they were stabbing you on the back, they were pushing you closer to your help. As they were trapped on your past, behold your new season arrived. Now they wanna comeback to let you know how they backstabbed one another. Dont reject them, let them repeat the whole process because you know how much it benefits you.

CHILD NEGLECT

Child neglect—a very common type of child abuse—is a pattern of failing to provide for a child's basic needs, whether it be adequate food, clothing, hygiene, or supervision. Child neglect is not always easy to spot.

Sometimes, a parent might become physically or mentally unable to care for a child, such as with a serious injury, untreated depression, or anxiety. Other times, alcohol or drug abuse may seriously impair judgment and the ability to keep a child safe.

Older children might not show outward signs of neglect, becoming used to presenting a competent face to the outside world, and even taking on the role of the parent. But at the end of the day, neglected children are not getting their physical and emotional needs met.

Top 10 governance tips for members of NPO Boards

1. Know what the charitable purpose of your organisation is and make sure you and your organisation are working towards it – if you are unsure, ask yourself whether your actions promote your organisation’s charitable purpose.

2. Be clear about your role and make sure that the roles and responsibilities of everyone at your organisation are well understood, whether these are volunteers, members, board members, clients or employees.

3. Understand your organisation’s financial position and be familiar with its financial statements – everyone on your board shares a responsibility to make sure your organisation’s finances are well‑managed.

4. Keep your responsibilities and legal duties as a board member in mind when making decisions as a board member, particularly difficult ones.

5. Have a copy of your rules: read them, understand them, follow them and if you are ever unsure, ask your other board members or get professional advice.

6. Although board members act as a group, do not just follow the crowd. You should always do what you think is best for your organisation, even if sometimes it means taking a different view to other board members.

7. Understand your organisation’s obligations to government agencies (such as the NPO Act and other regulations) and make sure your organisation is meeting them.

8. Listen to the other board members and work as part of a team. Your board shares a collective responsibility for the organisation and you should see board members as colleagues.

9. Be confident to declare and manage conflicts of interest responsibly. Most members of a board will encounter conflicts of interest and you should feel confident to handle them responsibly.

10. Always act in the best interests of your organisation – as a board member you have a responsibility to put the interests of your organisation above your own personal interests.
