As we are about to embark on one of the events on earth that marks the aeons of time, Easter weekend, let us remember:

The cross wasn’t iust a random religios event—It was a Divine Transaction sealed by Jesus’ blood, thereby establishing an eternal covenant, marked by peace and the restoration of relationship and intimacy between God and the human race.

Jesus didn’t just die on a Roman cross 2000 years ago. He bridged the gap between two dispensations. With a death certificate in the one hand and a birth certificate in the other, He stepped into time with His own life and certified the dispensation of distance between God and man as dead, and birthed into existence the dispensation of eternal grace and reconsiliation between God and man.

On this day, 2000 years ago, history met destiny, sin met grace, justice met mercy, and spiritual death and seperation from God met it’s match.

Jesus wasn’t a victim—He was a volunteer.
He wasn’t overpowered—He was poured out.
They didn’t kill Him-He gave up His own life willingly.
And nails didn’t hold Him—love did!

When Jesus said, “It is finished,” He wasn’t saying He was finished—He was declaring that our debt was paid in full, the curse was broken, the veil of seperation and judgement was torn, and that access to the Father, His love and Kingdom was now a birthright and available to all who believe!

The cross is not a symbol of death—it’s a preview of and a doorway to victorious living.

And what happened on that hill outside Jerusalem still speaks today:

You are loved;
You are not forgotten;
And you were worth dying for!

AND THAT’S WHY IT’S CALLED ‘GOOD’ FRIDAY!
